I am not a regular blogger, but today I have got some interesting facts which hoteliers should be aware of.

I think, you already know who are the Millennial Traveller, yes you are right, its our generation (born between 1980 & 2000). We travel to experience a new culture. We travel because we get inspired by our friends posting their selfie with beautiful places on social media. And travellers like me travel to reduce stress.

Before travelling to somewhere we always give priority to our stay, so we book hotel for our date. Sorry, I forget to mention we always give more priority to discount on hotel, so we check multiple travel sites for the best deal but for validation of hotel price or room images that is shown in travel sites, we visit official website of that hotel. And more interesting thing is we alone are not doing this. Expedia.com, a Millennial Traveller report has mentioned that 85% millennial traveller check multiple travel sites for the best deal. I guess you might have got the point of my discussion, you just catch that traveller who has come to your website for validation but how? There are some points below.

In this mobile era, we always love to open everything on mobile, so your website should open very quickly and that should be readable.

Smart Booking Engine

Its Okay.1st point is important for viewing the website but how do you catch the traveller who is already in your website, your booking engine do the work for you. Your smart booking engine displays the discount with some extra benefits for direct booking which can change the mind of that traveller. You are giving 25-30% as commission to OTA’s for one booking with TAX and if that same 25-30% as discount will shown in your website, you will get brand visibility with booking without any loss.

Now its become a trend, before doing something online we look for reviews, its might be manipulated but we can judge from that. So put reviews panel for customer so that they can select your hotel on the basis of reviews and book directly from your website.

Personalization & Loyalty

If your hotel or the locality is new to them, they will seek personal attention, for that I can suggest, your booking engine should be smart enough to catch their moves and ask for their need while they are in your website. At the same time ask for loyalty with simple signup process for accessing more benefits.
